Blackwattle Bay Development

(New Sydney Fish Market)

On 17th June 2020, the NSW Government approved the final plans for the new fish market following an extensive assessment and consultation period.

The approved State Significant Development Applications are available to view here on the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment website.

A tender process is also underway for the major construction phase, which is expected to start in early 2021.

The new design provides more than 4,700 square metres of new public open space and paves the way for a future shared pedestrian and cycle path that will provide waterfront access from Sydney Fish Market all the way to Woolloomooloo.
